Lenalidomide Capsules 10 mg “ Details

Dosage Form

* Solid oral dosage form “ capsules (10 mg strength).

Indication

* Primarily used in the treatment of multiple myeloma (in combination with dexamethasone).

* Also indicated for myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) associated with deletion 5q abnormality.

* Used in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) after relapse or progression.

* Can be prescribed for follicular and marginal zone lymphoma in some cases.

Contraindications

* Pregnancy “ highly teratogenic; contraindicated due to risk of severe birth defects.

* Hypersensitivity to lenalidomide or any of its components.

* Not recommended in patients with uncontrolled infections, severe hepatic impairment, or tumor lysis syndrome risk without appropriate management.

* Breastfeeding is also contraindicated.

Note

* Requires strict adherence to pregnancy prevention programs.

* Dose adjustments may be necessary in renal impairment.

* Monitoring for blood counts is essential due to risk of neutropenia and thrombocytopenia.
